Fremont High School Participatory Budgeting
Let’s raise MORE THAN $5,000 for Fremont!

Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, CA is in the midst of its second Participatory Budgeting program. The initial budget is $3,400.99, which includes a $2,000 donation from the Rotary Club of Sunnyvale, $750 from the Fremont Union High School District Foundation, and $650.99 remaining from their first program.
As of Feb 1st we are pleased to share that we have raised $700 from the League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale and another $750 from Fremont parents and members of the community.
Let’s do even more. Join our fundraising campaign to push this to $6,000 – or more!
The program is being managed by the ASB leadership team and Mr. Kakes – the teacher we know and love so much! Check out the great feedback from Mr. Kakes on this program.
In their first Participatory Budgeting cycle the ASB leadership class at Fremont was given $2,000 and used the money to purchase more outside seating and a glass case for posting flyers.
The ASB is a leadership class is a natural fit for PB, as ASB students students desire to do something for Fremont in order to create an unforgettable experience for their peers, increase school spirit, and improve the environment at Fremont.
We’re honored that Mr. Kakes, who led the first PB program at Fremont, is once again leading this second program.
